ANZAC Day

Overview

ANZAC Day events in nhulunbuy are hosted by the Rsl gove peninsula sub-branch, and are strongly supported by the gove boat club and the Nhulunbuy Rotary club. 

 

Dawn Service | 5:45am | Gove boat club

The ANZAC Day Dawn Service for 2021 will be held at the Gove Boat Club starting at 5.45am, with traditional two-up played afterwards. A shuttle bus departs from Gove House at 5am if you require transport to the Gove Boat Club, the returning trip leaves the service at 9am.

Memorial service | 10am | Nhulunbuy cenotaph

The ANZAC Day Memorial Service will begin at 10am at Arafura Memorial Park. Assemble at the cenotaph at 9.45am across the road from Woolworths in Nhulunbuy.

ANZAC DAY ACTIVITIES | 11am | CAT SHED

Traditional ANZAC Day activities will be held at the Cat Shed in Nhulunbuy, supported by Nhulunbuy Rotary Club. Activities will commence at 11am and include traditional two-up, the ANZAC day AFL match on the big screen and a wet bar and food available for purchase.
