Bukaway
Overview
From t-shirts to woodworking to jewellery and so much more, each Bukaway product is made on country and with pride.
Bukaway is a community-driven project supported by not-for-profit organisation the Arnhem Land Progress Aboriginal Corporation (ALPA).
All products are made by local Yolŋu workers, in both Nhulunbuy and surrounding member communities. Any proceeds made from sales are reinvested back into the communities, fuelling creative projects and supporting new training opportunities.
Bukaway's mission is focused on training, developing skills, creating jobs, and developing a sustainable, Yolŋu-led enterprise which reinvests in communities and the region.
The selection of crafts and products made by the Bukaway crew varies depending on the seasonal workshops and training that is taking place in the communities.
