Lirrwi Yolngu Tourism offers a range of Aboriginal cultural experiences for Corporate visitors to the East Arnhem Region. There are day touring options out of Nhulunbuy to some of the closer Aboriginal homelands as well as extended overnight experiences at the more remote homelands.
There are many Aboriginal homelands scattered across the East Arnhem Region and Lirrwi Yolngu Tourism is working with a number of them to provide economic development opportunities through tourism.
Visiting an Aboriginal homeland is a rare priviledge. Many of them are situated in spectacular locations in East Arnhem Land that are difficult to visit without the support of an organisation such as Lirrwi. Aboriginal people who live on these homelands are some of the most traditional in Australia. They speak Yolngu on a daily basis and still practice many of their cultural activities on their country.
Lirrwi Yolngu Tourism Aboriginal Corporation is overseen by a board of traditional Aboriginal owners and managed on their behalf by experienced tourism professionals.
